Personal Therapy

Working environment and work culture, tensions within teams, and unrealistic expectations at work can all have a significant impact on our mental health and sense of mental well-being. Stress, anxiety, and depression are increasingly common and according to the Mental Health Foundation, more than 1 in 7 people experience mental health problems in the workplace and over 12.5% of all sick days in the UK are related to mental health conditions. If you would like to go deeper than you would with life coaching and decided that you really want to work on what lies beneath your stress, anxiety, or depression, then Personal Therapy may be best suited for you.

I offer short- and long-term Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Schema Therapy for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, and other common difficulties of fast-paced modern life. I work especially with clients who feel that their difficulties are related to their work situation or work environment and who would like to improve their work-life balance and reduce stress, anxiety and depression.

This is for you if

  • You understand that making lasting changes is a process that takes time and requires input from you

  • You are open-minded and you will put in the effort even if things seem difficult

  • You are willing to explore how your experiences, beliefs and values influence you and impact your mental health

  • You are prepared to implement what we discuss and are prepared to do the necessary work

  • You are willing to examine your difficulties from a new perspective and try something new

  • Your problems are affecting your work or relationships on an ongoing basis

This is not for you if

  • You expect therapy to solve all your problems overnight without putting any effort in yourself

  • You are looking someone to give you all the answers and tell you what to do

  • You are reluctant to examine your experiences and beliefs and how they might contribute to your problems

  • You are not willing to do the work, complete agreed tasks or show up on time for our sessions

  • You are not open to change and trying a new perspective or approach to your problems

  • You are in an acute crisis that requires immediate or intensive support

 If you decide that you would like to work with me we would spend the first sessions(s) on an assessment of the problems that bring you to therapy, how this affects you, as well as on overview of your background and history. Based on the outcomes of the assessment we will then decide together what to focus on and how to work together. Depending in your circumstances we may use Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, or we could work integratively and use a blend of different therapy approaches.

We will have weekly or fortnightly therapy sessions via Zoom and I will be available via WhatsApp in between sessions in case you have any questions about assigned tasks or any of the tools we might be using.
